Ensure that you have received a detailed confirmation of all agreed
items:

- Check the start and completion dates
- Ensure that the space offered by your
contractor is sufficient for your maximum number of guests as a guide, a
typical wedding marquee, allowing for reception, dining and dancing will
require approximately 2 square metres per guest.
- All costs are included and payment terms are
agreed.

Inform the contractor if you require the marquee in place before the
eve of the event.

Stagger the arrival of various contractors - for example caterers are
unable to set up before the roof lining is in place.

Beware of the confusion between metric and imperial
measurements.

Update your contractor(s) about the changes to guest numbers or dates
etc well in advance of the event.

Remember that you have a responsibility under the Health & Safety
at Work act 1974 to assist your contractor in providing a safe environment for
installation crews, you and your guests.

Be sure that your contractor is aware of the position of any
underground or overhead services eg. Electricity, gas pipes, drains,
etc.

Ensure that your power supply is adequate for the extra load of
lights and equipment in the marquee. If in doubt consult a qualified electrical
contractor.

Consider fire precautions no smoking in the marquee.
|

Keep all flaps and doors closed in windy conditions.
|

Do not alter the installation in any way. In particular do not remove
cross bracing cables or bars (frame structures) or any guy ropes.

Marquees for exceptional sites - Events held during winter months or
extreme weather conditions require special consideration consult your
contractor.
